Renovation/Remodel
Main House
- Located in beautiful Cape Elizabeth with access to the ocean via Zeb’s Cove;
- 19th Century Italianate style farmhouse with detached Squash House and barn;
- Complete renovation of the interior;
- New multilayer kitchen, complete with custom cabinets by The Kennebec Company;
- Attic space converted into living space with bedrooms and a full bath;
- Scandinavian custom designed wood fired brick oven 2-sided firebox with unique attached heated brick bench at entryway for added comfort when lacing up one’s shoes;
- Completely remodeled to accommodate modern conveniences and living styles while keeping the feel of the original period.
Squash House
- Originally detached from the main house – long shelves upstairs once used for storing squash was still intact when the project began;
- Entire building was lifted and given new foundation;
- New ell attached squash house to main Farmhouse for a seamless transition between the two, adding more useable space for the family;
- Interior of squash house was renovated to house a new office and family room;
- Original privy bathroom was reconstructed to look and feel as it originally did while using current flush mechanics for modern convenience.
